As a native of San Francisco Clayton spent most of his life coming to Lake Tahoe. Like most bay area residents winters were for skiing and summers were for boating. He began his Real Estate career after a move to Hawaii in 2003. It was in the town of Kailua where he became an ocean-front property specialist securing some of the top listings in the now famous Lanikai Beach. During his time as a top producer for Dower Realty, he managed over 160 short and long-term rentals. His understanding of both investment property and recreational property gives him the advantage of knowing what potential a home has along with the care needed to maintain the home's excellence. Upon returning to San Francisco Clayton worked with some of San Francisco's top Realtors® and designers. His love for architecture and publishing led him to San Francisco Magazine where he worked alongside some of San Francisco's most iconic establishments.

Clayton's work includes partnerships with AIASF, SFMOMA, GLIDE, De Young Museum, LuxeSF, San Francisco Opera House and Davies Symphony Hall, San Francisco Design Center, and the Presidio Trust. After moving to Lake Tahoe with his wife Julia Humphries the couple established their family with the arrival of their daughter Sierra.

 

 

Each year Clayton hosts the Lake Tahoe Mountain Home Awards, celebrating over 60 of the area's top Builders, Architects, and Interior Designers for their stunning home submissions. This is Lake Tahoe's premier luxury home event with over 60 submissions each year and only 20 winning projects. Each project has a winning Architect, Builder and Interiors Designer. Through this submission process, he has toured the area's most exclusive properties with the best in design out of Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. This gives him a unique advantage in finding the best attributes of any home. His partnerships with each market's top PR agencies and media outlets have led to the ultimate exposure for his partners. Editorial placements include coverage of Lake Tahoe's now most sought-after communities. As an avid supporter of local non-profits through his philanthropic work, he offers a connected approach to the community. He has been a long-time supporter of the Tahoe Fund contributing to marketing efforts and fundraising for legacy projects such as the East Shore Trail. As a board member of the North Lake Tahoe Business Association (NTBA), he has been a part of the lead planning and execution of three signature Lake Tahoe events: The July 3rd Fireworks, Music on the Beach, and Passport to Dining.
